HRV Installation & Service — Lennox Premier Dealer Calgary
Most Calgary homeowners don’t realise their HRV is either not working properly or not installed correctly. Poor airflow balance, a dirty core, or wrong sizing all reduce effectiveness significantly. We do it right the first time.

01 HRV Installation
New HRV Installed — Sized, Balanced & Integrated Properly
A standalone HRV box bolted to the wall isn’t a proper installation. The unit needs to be correctly sized for your home’s volume, integrated with your existing ductwork, and balanced for even fresh air distribution throughout every room. That’s how we do every job.
02 HRV Service & Repair
HRV Not Working Right? We Service and Repair All Brands
A neglected HRV core becomes a breeding ground for mould and bacteria — then circulates that air through your entire home. Annual cleaning and calibration keeps your system running efficiently and your indoor air actually clean.

What’s Included on Every HRV Installation
These aren’t add-ons or upsells, they’re part of every job because cutting corners here causes failures down the road.
Ventilation Load Calculation
We calculate the correct HRV capacity for your home’s volume and occupancy. Undersized units can’t keep up; oversized units over-dry the air in winter.
Filter Setup & Training
Filters installed, labelled, and we show you exactly how and when to clean or replace them. Most homeowners have never been shown this.
Full Duct Integration
Properly connected to your existing forced-air system so fresh air reaches every room — not just the area next to the unit.
Alberta Code Compliant
All HRV installations meet Alberta Building Code ventilation requirements. Required in all new builds — and strongly recommended in older homes.
Airflow Balancing
We measure and balance supply and exhaust airflow after installation. An unbalanced HRV creates pressure problems and reduces effectiveness.
Annual Maintenance Plan Available
Ask about our annual HRV service plan, we come back each fall to clean the core, replace filters, and recalibrate airflow before the heating season.
Finance Your HRV Installation — Better Air Doesn’t Have to Cost You All at Once.

HRV FAQ
Newer Calgary homes are actually required by Alberta Building Code to have HRVs. If yours doesn’t have one running properly, your air quality and humidity are being affected.
Annually is ideal — filter cleaning, core inspection, and airflow calibration. Most homeowners combine it with their annual furnace tune-up.
A light hum is normal. Rattling, grinding, or excessive noise usually means a dirty core, failing motor bearing, or loose ductwork. Call us.
No — they do different things. HRVs remove excess indoor humidity in winter; humidifiers add it. Your system needs to be balanced for your home.
Typically $1,500–$3,000 installed depending on unit size and duct integration complexity. We quote before any work starts.
Yes — Lennox, Lifebreath, Venmar, Broan, and all other common brands. We supply Lennox HRVs as a Premier Dealer.
That’s often normal — HRVs are designed to run continuously at low speed. If it’s cycling on and off, or you notice humidity issues, call us for a check.
